Rectangular trampoline advantages
Rectangle trampolines offer superior bouncing abilities compared to round ones and that’s why they are used at highest levels of gymnastic competition. They also absorb more landing force which is another plus for professional athletes.
Unfortunately rectangular trampolines usually cost more than round ones. The reason for that is the fact that round ones are stronger by default because of a round frame and manufacturers can use weaker material for manufacturing them. Frames of rectangular trampolines need to be additionally enforced to hold more weight and to be safe.
Here are the top 5 rectangle trampoline we have reviewed so far. All of them come with a safety enclosure and we believe that all of them are great buys at the moment. But don’t just take our word for granted because at the end it all comes down to your personal preference and budget.

Buying a rectangular trampoline
Because rectangular trampolines aren’t as sturdy and strong as round ones by default, you need to pay an extra attention on the way they are built. A round trampoline can have plenty of support all around it and the force from rebounding is distributed all around the frame. But a rectangle trampoline has less support on the long sides of the frame, so it’s very important that there’s some extra enforcement to absorb enough force from rebounding.
It’s also important that the frame of a rectangle trampoline is made of high quality materials. Most trampolines come with a frame that’s made of galvanized steel which is strong enough for absorbing plenty of force.
Another thing to look at is the number of legs. More legs means better stability and better force absorbance, but not necessarily. If a trampoline only has two legs, it has to have some extra enforcement to be able to hold enough weight.
